Bioinformatician – Microbial Genomics & Multi‑omics

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Bioinformatician to join our research and development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable bioinformatics pipelines for microbial genomics and multi‑omics projects, while also supporting selected wet‑lab activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reproducible pipelines using workflow managers such as Snakemake or Nextflow.
• Process microbial genomics, transcriptomics and other multi‑omics datasets on Linux/HPC environments.
• Perform routine wet‑lab tasks including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR when required.
• Contribute to project planning, experimental design, data analysis and scientific reporting.
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure accurate data entry and documentation in line with internal standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biology or a related field.
• PhD or significant hands‑on experience in microbial bioinformatics.
• Proven experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Strong analytical thinking, proactive attitude and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
