Biomethane Engineer

About the role

The biomethane developer seeks an experienced engineer to lead the construction phase of a €50 million biomethane plant in the Province of Brindisi, Italy. The project converts agricultural substrates into renewable biomethane and requires on‑site coordination and regulatory expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support and oversee the construction of the biomethane plant from groundbreaking to commissioning.
• Coordinate daily activities with EPC contractors and subcontractors to ensure schedule and quality compliance.
• Manage and prepare authorization procedures at municipal, provincial, and regional levels.
• Ensure compliance with regional and national regulations governing biomethane plant construction.
• Conduct on‑site inspections and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the biomethane sector.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with authorization processes for biomethane projects.
• Experience working with EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of applicable regional and national construction regulations.
• Willingness to work on site and reside within reasonable driving distance of Brindisi or Bari.
