Bowling Center Manager

About the role

The Bowling Center Manager leads the 10‑lane bowling facility, snack bar, and associated recreation programs at Naval Air Station Sigonella. This role plans, promotes, and executes a full range of bowling activities while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with Navy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six staff members in beverage service, equipment repair, retail sales, lane and shoe rental, and cash handling.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the bowling center, snack bar (including alcohol service), slot/amusement machines, leagues, tournaments, and special events.
• Develop, promote, and manage programs to maximize participation, using print and digital media.
• Prepare and monitor the annual budget, analyze financial statements, and manage profit and loss.
• Maintain inventory of snack, beverage, and equipment parts; order supplies as needed.
• Schedule preventative maintenance for pinsetters, scoring systems, and ensure annual lane certification to ABC standards.
• Identify facility deficiencies and coordinate repairs or maintenance actions.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete and maintain Alcohol Server certification.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and perform manual tasks required by the role.
• Experience supervising staff and managing hospitality or recreation facilities is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of America Bowling Congress (ABC) standards.
