Business Controller – Finance & Reporting

About the role

Sodexo Italia is seeking a Business Controller to join its headquarters in Milan. Reporting to the Project Manager of a major business activity, you will support financial performance planning, reporting and the implementation of a new S/4 Hana ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Execute periodic closings (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and consolidate financial data.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis.
• Provide regular performance status reports and coordinate with Operations and transversal functions.
• Develop ad‑hoc analyses and special reports for strategic initiatives.
• Ensure integrity, confidentiality and accurate disclosure of all financial information.
• Support the migration to the new S/4 Hana ERP system.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting/Controlling within a structured company or consulting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of Italian GAAP and IFRS.
• Proactive, team‑oriented and enthusiastic attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros).
• PowerPoint proficiency.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, preferably S/4 Hana.
• Understanding of Italian GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
