Business Development Manager – Engineering Thermoplastics

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead commercial growth for a leading European manufacturer of engineering thermoplastics and specialty compounds. Reporting to senior leadership, you will work across Europe, building strategic accounts and delivering technically complex sales projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth through new business development across Europe.
• Manage and develop key strategic customer relationships.
• Identify new opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, moulders, processors and distributors.
• Lead technically complex sales projects and customer developments.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Service, R&D and Product Management teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging application opportunities.
• Support forecasting, business planning and commercial strategy execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or key account management.
• Background in engineering thermoplastics, technical compounds, polymers, masterbatch, additives or specialty chemicals.
• Strong track record of winning new business and growing strategic accounts.
• Experience operating across multiple European markets.
• Commercially driven with a strong hunter mentality.
• Fluent in English and Italian; German, French or Spanish advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across Europe.
