Business Development Manager – Italy Energy Market

About the role

YEO is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its presence in the Italian energy market. The role focuses on EPC and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, combining sales activities with hands‑on involvement in project structuring and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new EPC and BESS opportunities across Italy.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, developers, utilities, and industrial clients.
• Manage a robust project pipeline, emphasizing PV + BESS hybrid projects.
• Monitor tenders, define bidding strategies, and lead proposal processes to secure contracts.
• Coordinate bid preparation with technical and commercial teams and engage required service providers.
• Establish partnerships with project developers, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, and subcontractors.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, cost analysis, and project structuring for EPC and BESS projects.

Required profile

• Based in Italy and legally eligible to work there.
• 5–8+ years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in EPC, renewable energy, or BESS.
• Strong knowledge of the Italian energy ecosystem, market structure, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Proven track record in business development, tendering, contract negotiation, and project management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Italian and English.
• Result‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
