Business Development Manager – Italy Renewable Energy

About the role

YEO is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Italian energy market. The role focuses on Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), combining market development with hands‑on project structuring and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new EPC and BESS opportunities across Italy.
• Build and maintain relationships with investors, developers, utilities, and industrial clients.
• Manage a robust project pipeline, emphasizing PV + BESS hybrid projects.
• Monitor tenders, define bidding strategies, and lead proposal processes to secure contracts.
• Coordinate bid preparation with technical and commercial teams and engage required service providers.
• Establish strong links with project developers, equipment suppliers, engineering firms, and subcontractors.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, cost analysis, and project structuring for EPC and BESS projects.

Required profile

• Based in Italy and legally eligible to work there.
• 5–8+ years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in EPC, renewable energy, or BESS.
• Deep understanding of the Italian energy ecosystem, market structure, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Proven track record in business development, tendering, contract negotiation, and project management.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Italian and English.
• Result‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership of end‑to‑end processes.
