Business Intelligence Internship

About the role

Join Maison Valentino’s Business Intelligence team in Milan as an intern and support data‑driven decision making across the brand. You will work closely with top management, commercial, brand and merchandising functions to deliver accurate reporting and actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Produce periodic reports for top management and HQ functions covering sell‑out, sell‑through, CRM, profitability, e‑commerce and best‑seller performance.
• Conduct on‑demand deep‑dive analyses on categories, markets and collections, translating data into clear recommendations.
• Prepare weekly performance memos, highlight trends, risks and opportunities, and issue timely alerts on key metric changes.
• Assist in the creation of strategic materials such as trading meeting decks, shareholder presentations and press releases, ensuring data accuracy.
• Maintain master data for stores (openings/closures, trading hours, LFL status) and operational calendars.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse wholesale campaign bookings by category and campaign.
• Develop and enhance Qlik Sense dashboards, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders on new reporting initiatives.
• Automate BI processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Provide Qlik Sense onboarding, training and ongoing support to drive user adoption.
• Support cross‑functional teams in identifying micro‑trends and ensure consistent analytical approaches.

Required profile

• Graduate or undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data‑driven storytelling.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Qlik Sense for data visualisation and dashboard creation.
