CAD Automation Engineer – Python, NX Open, Computational Geometry

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled CAD Automation Engineer to develop advanced software tools that integrate with professional CAD platforms. The role combines software engineering, computational geometry, and AI to create scalable, high‑performance automation solutions for engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and workflows using Python.
• Integrate, customize, and extend CAD platforms via APIs, preferably NX Open.
• Create algorithms for geometric analysis, feature recognition, and pattern matching.
• Process and analyze geometric and parametric data to extract engineering insights.
• Build backend services and automation pipelines for engineering applications.
• Optimize performance of geometry‑intensive computations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support integration of AI/ML techniques for intelligent automation use cases.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in Python development.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD automation and CAD APIs (NX Open preferred).
• Solid understanding of computational geometry and geometric algorithms.
• Experience building algorithmic, data‑processing or engineering software systems.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering data structures and technical software environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
