Certification Business Development Manager – North Italy

About the role

RINA is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division, based in Torino. The role focuses on expanding the certification services portfolio across North Italy, driving pipeline growth, and securing new contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the sales pipeline to ensure consistent order intake aligned with targets.
• Identify, research and qualify new prospects, conducting market analysis to match RINA’s solutions.
• Lead contract negotiations, prepare tenders and quotations, and support proposal development.
• Close contracts while documenting lessons learned to improve sales processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to uncover cross‑selling opportunities and maximize mutual business.
• Gather competitor intelligence and market trends to adapt strategies.
• Generate new sales opportunities, maintain client relationships, and conduct regular visits.
• Identify strategic partnerships and alliances to enter new markets.
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with customers to ensure satisfaction and support retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within certification or technical services.
• Strong analytical skills for market and competitor assessment.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse internal teams.
• Fluent in English; Italian language skills are a plus.
