Chief Engineer – Medium & Heavy Current Vehicles

About the role

The Chief Engineer will act as the engineering reference for a multi‑department platform team focused on product improvement, quality, cost reduction and phase‑out initiatives. This senior position leads engineering projects across the department, ensuring alignment with product development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Represent engineering in cross‑functional discussions and decision‑making forums.
• Configure project scope, schedule and budget while coordinating with product development teams.
• Identify root‑cause issues and drive corrective actions.
• Present and defend engineering cost, impact and overview for project approvals.
• Communicate project targets to all involved engineers.
• Supervise every development phase until all engineering deliverables are completed.
• Report project status to senior management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing inter‑departmental projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive sector (highly valuable).
• Project‑management or global process‑development experience (valuable).
• Experience working on workshops, production lines or supplier management (valuable).
• Fluent English communication skills.

• Teamcenter PLM (required).
• CATIA V5 (highly valuable).
