Commercial Director – Mediterranean & North Africa

About the role

The Commercial Director for the Mediterranean & North Africa (MEDNA) region will lead the commercial strategy for Accor’s managed hotels across Spain, Italy and surrounding markets. Reporting to the VP Go‑To‑Market MEDNA, you will partner with operations teams to drive topline growth, optimise revenue performance and align commercial initiatives with regional business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute commercial strategies that boost RevPAR, market share and profitability across the hotel portfolio.
• Act as the primary commercial liaison for Operations leaders (VPOs, SVPOs, General Managers) to ensure alignment of sales, distribution and marketing actions.
• Analyse market dynamics, competitive positioning and demand trends to shape regional commercial plans.
• Coordinate and monitor initiatives that improve channel mix, pricing and loyalty program performance.
• Lead performance reviews, develop action plans and track accountability with hotel and owner stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities, implementing proactive measures to sustain growth.
• Support the rollout of brand, loyalty and commercial programmes while enhancing hotel teams’ commercial capabilities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• 8‑12+ years of experience in hospitality or travel, with strong exposure to revenue management, sales, distribution and marketing.
• Proven track record managing multi‑property environments and collaborating closely with hotel operations.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies.
