Commercial Lead – South Italy

About the role

Bayer Crop Science is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead for South Italy to drive customer success and business growth. You will lead cross‑functional teams, foster an innovative culture, and ensure strong results across revenue, profitability, cash flow and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage target distribution to Customer Facing Squads (CFS) and align with market dynamics, sales, profit and cash priorities.
• Oversee dynamic resource allocation to equip teams for outcome delivery, efficiency gains and financial performance.
• Promote a performance culture built on accountability, empowerment, courage and a growth mindset.
• Identify AI use cases and increase adoption within the commercial team to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
• Drive talent development across CFS, encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset and continuous learning.
• Coach Customer Facing Squads to ensure smooth collaboration with other squads following DSO principles.
• Participate in the Commercial Committee, contributing to strategic decisions and aligning CFS objectives with broader company goals.
• Support team growth through coaching, feedback and demand‑based skill and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing experience at country level.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Italian market, its dynamics and regulations.
• Proven track record of leading people (directly or indirectly) and managing key accounts.
• Responsibility for sales (and profitability) targets with execution accountability.
• Successful background in agricultural sales or business development.
• Proactive feedback culture and strong leadership abilities.
