Commis – F&B Support Expert

About the role

The Gritti Palace is seeking a motivated Commis to join its restaurant team. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will help deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests in a historic, luxury setting.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, set tables, and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Serve food and beverages, sharing menu knowledge and handling special requests.
• Check guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, china, glassware, and work areas.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding orders, allergies, dietary needs, and product availability.
• Follow standard operating procedures, brand guidelines, and cycle‑time standards.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Italy with a valid work permit.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Understanding of F&B operations in luxury hospitality.
• Previous experience in a fine‑dining restaurant is an advantage.
• People‑oriented, team‑player with strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
