Communications Consultant – Intergenerational Governance (Remote, 12 months)

About the role

UNICEF Innocenti is seeking a Communications Consultant to support the planning, coordination, and strategic visibility of communications, storytelling, and engagement outputs for its Intergenerational Governance and Participation (IGP) initiatives. The role focuses on youth participation, climate education, and related foresight activities, and will be carried out remotely for a twelve‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communications, advocacy, and dissemination strategies across IGP workstreams.
• Produce storytelling and knowledge‑translation materials for global learning, policy, and partnership platforms.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and amplify the visibility of IGP outputs, especially the Youth Fellowship on Climate Education.
• Support the creation of reports, briefs, and multimedia content that showcase project impact.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Development Communication, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in designing and executing communication strategies for development or non‑profit programs.
• Strong understanding of youth participation, climate education, and intergenerational governance topics.
