Community Associate

About the role

The Open Home Foundation is seeking a Community Associate to energise and grow its European community. You will be the voice that celebrates contributors, curates stories, and ensures members feel welcomed across our Discord, social channels and events.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish community stories, spotlights and project showcases that highlight member achievements.
• Maintain an active presence on Discord: welcome newcomers, answer questions, organise AMAs, watch parties and collaborate with moderators to keep the server friendly.
• Co‑ordinate with the Digital Marketing Manager to produce engaging social‑media content that sparks conversation.
• Assist the Events Manager with logistics, communication and promotion for online meet‑ups, conferences and industry exhibitions such as IFA.
• Support the contributor recognition programme, develop appealing swag ideas and ensure timely delivery to members.
• Produce short video recaps, tutorials and social reels to amplify community moments.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in community management, social media, content creation or a related communications role.
• Proven track record of growing and engaging audiences on social platforms, not just follower counts.
• Hands‑on familiarity with Discord, including server management or active participation.
• Experience organising virtual or in‑person events and handling related logistics.
