Contracts Management Officer

About the role

The United Nations Global Service Centre in Brindisi, Italy, is seeking a Contracts Management Officer to join the Field Contract Management Team within the Supply Chain Service, Planning & Sourcing Support Section. Reporting to the Chief of the section, the officer will support contract performance management across the UN Secretariat and maintain key contract monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage contractual aspects of procurement projects, establishing work programmes and schedules for existing and new contracts.
• Develop and implement operational plans, SOPs, and initiatives to ensure contract compliance and performance.
• Provide procurement support, including drafting statements of work, defining performance standards, KPIs, and technical evaluation criteria.
• Create quality‑assurance plans and conduct contract risk assessments with mitigation measures.
• Assess contractor performance, advise on corrective actions, and coordinate contract close‑outs, capturing lessons learned.
• Administer the Contract Performance Reporting Tool (CPRT) and Instant Feedback System (IFS), managing user access, data integrity, and system enhancements.
• Analyze performance trends and prepare monitoring reports for senior management.
