Controls Technician – $4,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

We are looking for a PLC Controls Technician to design, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC‑controlled equipment in our Florence manufacturing site. You will work with Siemens S7 controllers, TIA Portal and a range of automation devices to ensure reliable production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program and maintain PLC systems according to corporate standards.
• Develop and support HMI applications for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve vision system problems (Cognex, Keyence).
• Maintain and troubleshoot servo drives (Rexroth, Siemens) and robotics (FANUC).
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations to improve equipment performance.
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to identify root causes.

• Siemens S7 PLC programming.

• Servo drives – Rexroth, Siemens.

• Sensors, machine safety and measurement systems (e.g., Kistlers).
