Crash Simulation Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Bertrandt is seeking a motivated Crash Simulation Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for creating and refining high‑fidelity crash models, supporting vehicle safety development from concept through series production.

Key responsibilities

• Independently build and modify simulation models using ANSA, LS‑DYNA, PAM‑CRASH, Animator and custom tools.
• Work with simulation data management systems such as LoCo.
• Perform, validate and document crash and occupant safety calculations.
• Present results and coordinate with development partners, project management and customers.
• Develop and implement optimisation proposals for vehicle structures.
• Support assemblies throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with design, testing and other engineering departments.

Required profile

• Technical or scientific degree in automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience with FEM tools (LS‑DYNA, PAM‑CRASH, ANSA, Animator) and SDM systems (LoCo) is preferred.
• Programming knowledge (TCL, Python, Bash) is an advantage.
• Independent, structured work style with quick comprehension and high reliability.
• Strong commitment, communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
• Business‑fluent English.
