About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of its college facilities in Rome, Georgia. This full‑time position offers a stable work environment with a supportive benefits package.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of college buildings and grounds.
- Clear storm drains and traps of debris.
- Handle minor repairs such as painting, replacing light bulbs, and hanging curtains.
- Set up chairs, tables, lights, and podiums for special events and college functions.
- Distribute and maintain custodial materials, tools, and equipment.
- Deliver and collect mail as needed.
- Execute any other duties assigned by supervisors.
Required profile
- No prior experience required.
- Knowledge of custodial tools, methods, and safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with college policies and procedures.
Required skills
- Use of cleaning tools and supplies.
- Operation of custodial equipment.
