Cyber Security Compliance Specialist

About the role

Join an international, fast‑growing consultancy as a Cyber Security Compliance Specialist. You will ensure the security and regulatory compliance of Linux‑based infrastructures while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu or equivalents).
• Plan, execute and monitor patch‑management processes to keep systems secure.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
• Apply operating‑system security best practices and ensure alignment with internal standards.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine administrative tasks.
• Troubleshoot system issues, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to implement security improvements.
• Prepare and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation of security and system‑admin activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or Cybersecurity Specialist.
• Strong background in Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with patch‑management and vulnerability‑assessment processes.
• Good knowledge of OS security best practices.
• Fluent Italian and good English communication skills.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu or equivalents).
• Bash scripting.
• Patch‑management tools.
• Vulnerability‑assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, Rapid7).
• Configuration/automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform – optional).
• Understanding of virtualized and cloud environments (optional).
