Data & Analytics Team Leader – Milan

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Data & Analytics division, a Marsh business, is hiring a Team Leader in Milan. The role focuses on managing projects, with the team leader typically working on one project at a time, and offers a clear career path to partner level. About 50% of the time is spent on site with clients, depending on individual needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects: develop hypotheses, manage data collection, model creation and analysis, conduct primary and secondary research, overcome information limitations and surface insights.
• Oversee the work of analysts and use partners and the internal network to give technical and senior-level guidance.
• Work with clients to deliver project deliverables to a high standard.
• Maintain the team's energy and work-life balance, and coach Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or Engineering).
• At least 5 years of experience in specialised consulting firms, top-tier banks or financial institutions, in data analytics, credit risk, financial modelling or machine learning.
• Excellent command of Italian and English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel regularly and to work independently under limited supervision.

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and data manipulation software: R, Python, SAS, SQL or SPSS.
• Strong analysis, documentation and communication skills.

What we offer

• Permanent contract under the CCNL Commercio, classified as Dirigente.
• Base salary of EUR 69,000 to 105,000 gross per year (full-time equivalent), plus an annual discretionary bonus.
