Design Engineer

About the role

Segula Technologies is seeking a Design Engineer to support a key client in Italy. The role involves managing component development, system design activities, and providing technical support across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage component development design changes with technical support from the DRE team.
• Lead design activities for systems and sub‑components, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Coordinate design completion dates in agreement with DRE and project deliverables.
• Oversee assembly and sub‑assembly processes and assist customers such as SIE, Protoshop, and DRE when required.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (not mandatory).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in an engineering department.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine design.
• Familiarity with casting, plastic molding, forging, and general manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Italian and English.

Required skills

• PLM user level.
• NX (mandatory).
• CREO (desired).
• CATIA V5/V6 (desired).
• Creation and management of parametric models and complex structures with skeleton.
