Design Engineer – Mechanical & Industrial Solutions

About the role

The Design Engineer will support Deal’s Equipment Division by creating safe, reliable and efficient mechanical and industrial engineering solutions for bridge and viaduct construction projects. The role involves both tender preparation and project execution, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, quality and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and technical solutions in line with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Prepare calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications and other documentation required for tendering and execution.
• Perform engineering analyses and technical verifications to confirm safety, reliability and feasibility of solutions.
• Identify technical issues, design risks and non‑conformities, proposing corrective actions.
• Support tender activities by providing technical inputs, preliminary designs and evaluations.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, business development, procurement, production and other internal functions.
• Review customer specifications, contractual documents and technical requirements to ensure compliant solutions.
• Assist in managing engineering changes and updating documentation accordingly.
