Developer Portal & Community Manager

About the role

This position is based in Italy and focuses on owning and evolving the Developer Portal for a highly technical open‑hardware product. You will act as the bridge between engineering teams and a global developer community, turning complex internal work into clear, public documentation and fostering active community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Own, structure, and continuously improve the Developer Portal, ensuring it remains accurate and useful.
• Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates, and product changes into clear public documentation.
• Maintain and organize wiki pages, GitHub repositories, and other developer‑facing resources across multiple sub‑projects.
• Participate in engineering meetings to stay aligned with development direction.
• Moderate community contributions, discussions, issues, and pull requests to ensure quality and relevance.
• Collect feedback from the developer community and relay insights to internal teams.
• Help developers navigate the portal, contribute effectively, and engage with the ecosystem.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with proven ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development workflows and ability to engage in technical conversations across hardware and software domains.
• Capability to distill complex technical concepts into simple, structured explanations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to extract key insights from technical discussions.
• Interest in developer tools, open‑source ecosystems, and open‑development culture.
