Director of Information Security

About the role

The client, a global manufacturing organisation undergoing a digital transformation, is looking for a Director of Information Security to lead and mature its worldwide cybersecurity function. This senior leadership position will shape the security strategy across enterprise IT, cloud platforms, connected products, and operational technology.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global cybersecurity strategy aligned with business and technology priorities.
• Lead security initiatives covering cloud security, identity and access management, cyber resilience, data protection, and IT/OT security.
• Support secure adoption of digital platforms, connected technologies, and data‑driven capabilities.
• Develop security roadmaps, investment priorities, and implementation plans.
• Strengthen incident preparedness, recovery capabilities, and overall cyber resilience.
• Provide pragmatic guidance to senior leadership on cyber risks and security investments.
• Manage and develop a global security team to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading information security or cybersecurity functions in complex, international organisations.
• Strong understanding of both IT and OT security environments.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or highly operational businesses.
• Track record of delivering security programmes and initiatives.
