Director of People & Culture

About the role

The Director of People & Culture will act as a strategic partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, shaping the hotel’s people strategy, culture and employee experience. This senior leader will build structures where none exist, simplify complexity and drive continuous improvement across the entire employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Champion and embed the Excelsior employee culture across all departments.
• Create an exceptional employee experience from attraction through departure, including a compelling employee value proposition.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, listening sessions and communication forums to build trust at every level.
• Provide commercially sound people solutions that support operational objectives and influence business decisions with data and insight.
• Partner with department heads on workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning.
• Develop future leaders through targeted learning, development and coaching programs.
