Director of People & Culture

About the role

The Hotel Excelsior Venice is seeking a visionary Director of People & Culture to shape its people strategy and drive a high‑performance culture across the iconic luxury property. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Executive Committee, you will act as a strategic business partner, influencing leadership, strengthening culture, and enhancing the employee experience from recruitment to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Champion and evolve the Excelsior employee culture across all departments.
• Design and deliver an exceptional employee experience, including a compelling EVP.
• Lead the Recruiting, Learning & Development, and HR Administration teams.
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession.
• Provide data‑driven people solutions that support commercial objectives.
• Develop and roll out onboarding and leadership development programs.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives, listening sessions, and communication forums.
