Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales will lead the sales function of Hotel La Palma, a historic 50‑room boutique hotel in Capri. Reporting to the General Manager, you will set strategic sales objectives, develop rate strategies and drive revenue growth across all market segments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel’s strategic sales action plan and annual budget.
• Manage all departmental sales activities, promotions, and budget control to achieve measurable commercial goals.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to support an effective rate strategy and exceed RevPAR targets.
• Create key account plans, sales campaigns, and execute sales trips aligned with the corporate calendar.
• Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers, global sales offices, and contribute to overall sales and marketing policies.
• Lead promotional initiatives, coordinate participation in major industry trade shows, and conduct weekly sales meetings.
• Manage expenses within guidelines and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security, and Confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel sales leadership, with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of rate management, RevPAR metrics, and budgetary control.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and manage a sales team.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with key accounts and global partners.
