Early Years Teacher (Cover/Substitution)

About the role

Florence Bilingual School, a bilingual Italian/English school founded in 1973 and part of the Cognita Schools group since 2021, is looking for an Early Years Substitute Teacher. The role supports the school's team for a few hours when substitutions are needed.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate and report on student progress to ensure continuity in learning
• Plan engaging activities aligned with the curriculum, prepare the classroom environment and set clear learning objectives
• Manage student behaviour and adapt teaching to individual needs
• Maintain communication with families and staff, and collaborate on classroom routines

Required profile

• A qualified Early Years educator
• Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Empathetic, flexible and able to motivate young learners
• Experience in early education is preferred

What we offer

• Pay of €12 per hour
• Zero-hours contract, working as needed
