Economics Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking an Economics Adjunct Faculty member to deliver high‑quality instruction in general education economics courses. The position involves using the Blackboard Ultra Learning Management System and may include both classroom and online delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus.
• Prepare curriculum materials and develop lesson outlines.
• Evaluate student progress, grade examinations, and maintain attendance and grade records.
• Attend in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Maintain program certification and safety requirements.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Meet with students, staff, and supervisors as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Economics.
• Teaching experience at a Technical College System of Georgia (preferred).
• Experience teaching in an online environment and Blackboard Ultra certification (preferred).
• Three years of relevant work experience within the last seven years (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Ultra and other Learning Management Systems.
• Ability to develop lesson outlines and instructional materials.
• Computer proficiency for course delivery and record‑keeping.

• Lump‑sum payment of $1,650 for a three‑contact‑hour course (paid semi‑monthly).
