EHS Engineer (ASPP) – Health & Safety

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Italy is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer with ASPP qualification to support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of its Health and Safety Management System at the Monfalcone facility. You will work closely with the RSPP, Health and Safety Manager, Competent Doctor and HR to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor physical, chemical, psychological and biomechanical risks in collaboration with RSPP and safety leadership.
• Verify compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain safety certifications.
• Implement corporate safety programs aligned with Westinghouse standards.
• Define training requirements, coordinate and deliver safety training for workers.
• Collect and analyse incident, injury and near‑miss data to propose corrective actions.
• Conduct targeted workplace inspections, report non‑conformities and recommend improvements.
• Support development and maintenance of visual safety communication materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma and completion of mandatory ASPP training modules (Module A and Module B) as required by Italian law.
• Relevant higher education such as a Master’s degree in Safety Engineering (LM26) or an equivalent engineering degree is considered an asset.
• Experience working with health and safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
