Energy Market Analyst (Junior or Associate)

About the role

We are seeking an Energy Market Analyst to join our Milan team (hybrid) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extension to a permanent role. You will work with international clients, enhancing your analytical expertise and building deep knowledge of global power markets.

Key responsibilities

• Understand fundamentals of power market operations, price drivers and the impact of energy policies on client strategies.
• Analyse grid availability, connection processes, timelines and regulations across different markets.
• Conduct electricity market and system research to generate insights for strategic recommendations.
• Synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings into clear, client‑focused deliverables.
• Collaborate continuously with colleagues and external contacts.
• Participate in project management, quality control, innovation initiatives and knowledge sharing.
• Identify client needs and opportunities in renewable energy procurement and ancillary markets.

Required profile

• Relevant master’s degree (e.g., energy markets, energy economics, energy policy or related fields).
• Good understanding of power markets, including price formation and inter‑market dependencies.
• Strong interest in energy sector dynamics.
