Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the strategic and operational management of all maintenance activities at Park Hyatt Milano, ensuring that all systems, equipment and infrastructure operate at the highest standards expected by an international luxury clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise routine, extraordinary and preventive maintenance across the hotel.
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and building management systems.
• Respond promptly to critical failures to minimise impact on guests and operations.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to verify compliance with standards and schedules.
• Supervise external contractors on‑site and manage project delivery defined by senior management.
• Lead, organise and develop the internal maintenance team, including shift planning, on‑call schedules and technical training.
• Participate in daily departmental briefings to ensure effective communication.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and attention to detail throughout the engineering department.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and develop a maintenance team in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and sustainability standards.
• Excellent organisational skills with experience in shift and on‑call planning.
• Effective communication and collaboration with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B and other hotel departments.
