Europe Finance Controller

About the role

The Europe Finance Controller will ensure accurate financial accounting, robust controls, and high‑quality reporting for Valentino’s European retail operations. Acting as a key financial partner, you will support retail and finance leadership across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for assigned European companies.
• Manage general ledger activities, including posting accruals, provisions, stock movements and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Assemble the Group Reporting Package and deliver detailed monthly reports to headquarters.
• Collaborate with internal and external accounting teams to oversee day‑to‑day legal entity activities.
• Implement and maintain adequate processes and internal controls.
• Provide administrative and compliance support to stores within the assigned companies.
• Work with Europe Business Controllers on ad‑hoc requests and performance analysis.
• Prepare supporting documentation for Group Sustainability Reporting.

Required profile

• 3‑4+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Strong planning, organizational and deadline‑driven abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP (advantage).
