European Finance Controller

About the role

Based in Ivrea, Italy, you will be the core finance owner for the Italy production R&D base and the UK Oxford R&D centre. You will manage local statutory accounting, multi‑GAAP conversion, group consolidation and cross‑border tax compliance while providing financial analysis to support investment and operational decisions. The role reports to China HQ and works closely with local finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Master IFRS, Chinese CAS, Italian GAAP and UK GAAP and build a standardized accounting conversion and reporting system.
• Collect monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial data, prepare multi‑standard financial statements for statutory filing, internal management and audit.
• Ensure compliance with China, UK and Italy finance, tax and foreign‑exchange regulations; coordinate transfer‑pricing and tax filings.
• Manage ERP and group consolidation systems, optimise data synchronization and improve month‑end close efficiency.
• Act as the main finance liaison with China Group Finance, local teams, external auditors, investment banks and legal counsel.
• Lead annual budget and rolling‑forecast consolidation and deliver performance assessments to senior management.
• Conduct consolidated financial analysis of profitability, cash flow and asset‑liability structures for Italy and UK entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Auditing.
• Minimum 6 years of finance experience in automotive or new‑energy powertrain multinational manufacturing and R&D environments.
