Event Management & Strategic Initiatives Assistant (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The School in Rome is looking for an Event Management & Strategic Initiatives Assistant on a maternity‑cover basis. Reporting to the School Director, you will support NABA events and non‑academic projects, ensuring they align with the institution’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide event‑management support for institutional and on‑campus activities.
• Assist the School Director, Head of Enrollment and Career Services teams with event logistics and technical coordination.
• Help develop and execute academic and non‑academic initiatives such as NABA chats, public‑administration courses, and summer camps for students aged 15‑18.
• Offer administrative assistance for budget management, including entering expenses in DocsWeb for approval.
• Tutor INPS courses for public‑administration employees when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Event Management, Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• Previous experience in event coordination or administrative support; experience in education or cultural institutions is a plus.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Proactive, flexible and problem‑solving attitude.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term maternity‑cover contract.

• 30–38 hours per week, schedule to be defined.
• Annual compensation range €21,000 – €24,000.
