Executive Director (Nonprofit, Part‑Time, Hybrid)

About the role

Synchromy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to contemporary classical music in Southern California, seeks an Executive Director to lead its governance, finances and fundraising on a part‑time, hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Board operations, including recruitment, orientation, quarterly meetings and compliance with 501(c)(3) requirements.
• Oversee financial management: budgeting, bookkeeping in QuickBooks, payroll, tax filings and vendor payments.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies, cultivate donors, manage recurring giving and ensure timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Coordinate marketing, grant‑writing and event budgets, and supervise contracted staff or freelancers.
• Collaborate with Production Manager and Artistic Directors to align programming with artistic vision.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in nonprofit administration or similar senior management role.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit compliance, financial reporting and fundraising.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities and delegate tasks to staff, volunteers or board members.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort with flexible, less‑structured environments.
