Extraction Operator – Production Site

About the role

Under limited supervision, the Extraction Operator will run and control both continuous and batch extraction equipment at Givaudan’s Caronno Pertusella site. The role ensures that raw materials are transformed into high‑quality products while meeting strict safety, ATEX and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor continuous and batch extraction lines, adjusting parameters to maintain efficiency and product quality.
• Load, filter, and transfer raw materials and intermediates according to the Bill of Materials and formula specifications.
• Record process data (temperature, pressure, flow rate, concentration) via HMI control systems.
• Perform cleaning, sanitisation and product change‑over in compliance with GMP, HACCP and ATEX requirements.
• Conduct in‑process quality checks, report deviations and work with the Shift Leader or Production Supervisor to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and Lean initiatives, sharing suggestions for operational excellence.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with a technical or chemical‑industrial background.
• 2–4 years of experience in a production environment, ideally in food, chemicals, flavors or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong focus on safety, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Forklift licence is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with automatic or semi‑automatic extraction systems.
• Proficiency in using HMI control panels to monitor process parameters.
• Knowledge of ATEX regulations and operation of ATEX‑rated equipment.
• Familiarity with GMP and HACCP cleaning and change‑over procedures.
