Field Superintendent – Erection

About the role

The Field Superintendent – Erection will lead all on‑site activities related to the erection and launching of precast deck segments for bridges, viaducts and other elevated structures. You will supervise the assembly, installation and commissioning of specialized erection machinery, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise erection and launching of precast deck segments for bridges, viaducts and similar structures.
• Coordinate assembly, installation and commissioning of segment launchers, overhead gantries, cranes and other heavy‑lifting equipment.
• Verify that mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly work follows technical specifications, alignment tolerances and safety standards.
• Plan and monitor critical phases of machine assembly and segment erection, including preparation, lifting, alignment, positioning, stressing and final inspection.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring proper PPE use and safe work procedures.
• Maintain detailed progress reports, record performance data and flag potential issues for site management.
• Provide training, supervision and technical guidance to site personnel, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in erection and launching of precast elements.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong leadership, communication and team‑management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and production efficiency.
