Finance Expert - Fully Remote

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Corporate Finance Expert to support its AI research labs by evaluating and improving financial data used to train models. This fully remote, contract position offers flexible hours and a competitive rate of up to $100 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy and depth of financial models to enhance model reasoning and rigor.
• Review complex financial reports for consistency with domain principles and methodologies.
• Provide structured feedback to AI research teams to improve training data quality and downstream performance.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and benchmarks for AI‑generated financial tasks and solutions.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure dataset consistency, relevance, and coverage.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while driving model performance improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in corporate finance.
• Proven experience in financial modeling within a professional environment.
• Background in financial reporting or financial analysis.
• Ability to work remotely with self‑discipline and meet weekly commitment of 10+ hours.
