Finance Manager – International Organization

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial function for a privately held international organization operating across multiple countries. This key position ensures accounting integrity, timely financial reporting, statutory compliance, and effective audit coordination while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities for the legal entity, including general ledger, AP, AR, intercompany, cash management and treasury.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in collaboration with shared service centres.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and coordinate statutory and internal audits.
• Manage tax, VAT and regulatory filings, working with external tax advisors and central tax teams.
• Partner with local business leaders and FP&A teams to ensure accurate recording of contracts and transactions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage an international finance team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Italian statutory accounting and tax requirements.
• Proven experience overseeing accounting for legal entities within multi‑entity, multi‑country structures.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with shared service centres and global finance functions.
• Experience leading audit and tax compliance processes.
• Demonstrated capability to manage and develop an international finance team.
