Financial Controller – International Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee the financial activities of a portfolio of subsidiaries within an international freight forwarding group. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, consolidate and present financial statements for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, produce forecasts, perform variance analysis and monitor financial performance, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment, conduct regular audits, and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CFA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a controlling role, preferably within logistics or project logistics.
• Proven experience managing financial consolidations across multicultural environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to subsidiary locations; fluent English, French a plus.
