Financial Controller (Italy)

About the role

The Financial Controller will own the month‑end close and management reporting for Rayner Italia, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for the Group. The role provides hands‑on operational accounting support and partners with local commercial teams and the European Finance Head.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full month‑end close for Italy, including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, COGS, FX revaluations and payroll.
• Prepare and post the monthly Management Pack (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance analysis).
• Oversee Accounts Payable end‑to‑end, supplier reconciliations and payment runs.
• Maintain daily cash book, perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow reporting.
• Execute stock movements in ERP/WMS, ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile stock accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset register, process additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Prepare intercompany recharge invoices, loan adjustments and support Group reporting schedules.
• Ensure balance‑sheet reconciliations, VAT adjustments and transfer‑pricing transactions.
• Lead NetSuite implementation for the Italian entity.

Required profile

• Experience handling full month‑end close and management reporting in an Italian entity.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and external advisors.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
