Financial Controller

About the role

Carel is seeking a Financial Controller to join its HQ Controlling team. The role focuses on managing financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decisions across assigned regions and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities for designated areas.
• Support local and corporate statutory offices with accurate, timely information in line with group accounting policies.
• Lead budgeting, reforecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Perform in‑depth financial analysis to guide business decisions and improve performance.
• Monitor KPIs, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business units to enforce financial discipline and cost control.
• Prepare management reports and present insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling or similar roles.
• Experience in a multinational environment is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Oracle, Tableau and Power BI.
