Financial Cost Analysis Internship

About the role

Ferrari is seeking a dedicated intern to join its Financial Cost Analysis team in Maranello, Italy. The role supports cost analysis of racing car components and systems, working closely with design, production and purchasing functions.

Key responsibilities

• Support detailed cost analysis of components and systems for racing cars, focusing on manufacturing technologies such as machining, composite materials and additive manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Design, Program Management, Purchasing and Production to collect, analyse and synthesize technical and financial data.
• Prepare reports, presentations and technical documentation for management and internal stakeholders.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute to the optimisation of production processes.
• Assist in economic evaluation of new projects, technical changes and production investments, including Make‑vs‑Buy analyses.

Required profile

• Recent Master graduate, current Master student or final‑year student in Mechanical Engineering, Management Engineering or related fields.
• Passion for automotive and innovative solutions with prior internship or project experience in automotive or luxury sectors.
• Analytical, target‑oriented and structured thinking with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of Power BI (plus).
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies such as machining, composite materials and additive manufacturing.
