Freelance DevOps Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Discoup, a leading European discount‑code platform, is seeking a freelance DevOps Engineer to help scale and secure its high‑traffic, cloud‑native environment. You will work closely with the CTO and development team to ensure the platform remains reliable, observable, and cost‑effective as it expands across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and related deployments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or comparable tools.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and uptime, and refine observability, logging, and alerting.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline deployment workflows.
• Analyse and reduce infrastructure costs while strengthening security.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and document best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS services.
• Production experience managing Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
• Experience scaling relational databases on AWS, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Professional proficiency in English.
