Fund Accountant

About the role

Alter Domus is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its finance team. The role supports the full accounting cycle for alternative investment funds, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. You will work in a fast‑growing environment with exposure to international standards and a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, including accruals, pre‑paids and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss variances against benchmarks and provide explanatory commentary.
• Prepare VAT, tax returns and other regulatory reports.
• Support the annual audit and the preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with external parties as required.
• Contribute to process improvement, standardisation, re‑engineering and implementation of best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Economics.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical, organisational and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (or similar ERP systems).
• Working towards or holding ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification.
