General Manager – Pub

About the role

As General Manager you will lead a Metro Pub, building a thriving business while creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and a supportive environment for your team. You will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining brand standards and ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Business Development Manager and senior team to grow pub sales and profitability.
• Lead by example, delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding brand values.
• Recruit, train and develop staff to ensure high service standards.
• Monitor and control P&L, manage costs and drive financial performance.
• Maintain health, safety and licensing compliance, including holding a personal licence.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and high standards in day‑to‑day operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Business‑savvy with a focus on P&L management.
• Experience in a fast‑paced hospitality or retail environment; previous General Manager experience is desirable.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a commitment to team and customer satisfaction.
