Graduate Data Engineer/Analyst – 3‑Year Development Program

About the role

ION, a global FinTech software provider, is launching a three‑year Graduate Development Program for recent STEM graduates. As a Data Engineer/Analyst you will join a full‑time permanent contract, work on live projects and receive mentorship from senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business owners to understand data sources, reconstruct semantics and evaluate value.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, reverse‑engineer datasets and build multidimensional BI models.
• Automate data extraction, cleaning, transformation, enrichment and standardisation for central Data Hubs.
• Develop automated reporting solutions such as Power BI dashboards, programmatic PowerPoint generation and custom web UIs.
• Manage and maintain end‑to‑end operational data pipelines.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline obtained within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record.
• Fluent in English (B2+) and Italian.
• Based in Italy or willing to relocate; non‑EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit.
